Why Clients Prefer AAT Sand Filters
Constructed from strong, durable, premium-grade Vinyl ester resin, resistant to chemical and ozone attack. Completely free of corrosion-vulnerable metal components inside the chamber. Quality fittings and valves.
AAT Sand Filters are typically connected to and operated by AAT Control Systems* programmed to operate backwashes on automated schedules at the touch of a button. (AAT Control Systems are sold separately)
A range of six AAT sand filters catering for flow rates of:
24,400 litres per hour to 89,700 litres per hour for biological filtration
36,600 litres per hour to 134,600 litres per hour for chemical filtration.
Aquarium operators can easily inspect the action inside through the large, transparent viewing port fitted as standard.
On entering the chamber water deflects off a plate designed and positioned distribute the flow evenly across the sand’s surface without unduly disturbing it. One piece removable septum nozzles positioned across the flat bed plenum beneath the sand help create a smooth, distributed flow.
AAT Sand Filters help create an LSS infrastructure that is visually attractive because premium-looking equipment is more likely to get the care, attention and respect it deserves from operators and maintenance personnel.
