5-star-rated by the Forbes Travel Guide, Wynn Macau opened Encore, its second tower, on April 21^st2010.

Taking pride of place in the hotel’s guest registration area is a magnificent 11,000-litre aquarium stocked with a collection of super-graceful Moon Jellyfish from Japan and Taiwan.

Hotel staff change the aquarium’s lighting to set the right mood using assorted colours, rainbow patterns and pre-set sequences.

The jellyfish have ‘rest periods’, and breeding programmes have been used to support stock management.

Phase 1

Design

The first phase addresses feasibility, budgeting, concept development, creative themes, visitor-experience design and journey-mapping, detailed engineering and project planning.

Phase 2

Build

The second phase focuses on acrylic manufacturing, construction and installation, the supply and installation of life support systems, waterproofing, lighting, filling and stocking the tanks.

Phase 3

Operate

The third phase includes handing the aquarium over to its owners and operators. Also included this phase, for older aquariums, are services relating to refurbishment and renovation.
